Meet diva pixie AKA Cindy Thomson.
I am a native Minnesotan currently residing in SW Kansas. I work in a small school district as a K-5 general music teacher. I love my job. My family all live in northern MN and includes my brother, sister, brother-in-law, 3 beautiful nieces, mom and dad. I see them as often as I can.... about 4 times a year.
I have lots of interests outside of jewelry making. I also sew costumes and have studio on Art Fire for those. I knit, crochet, cross stitch, sing, act and when I get the chance I like to go dancing with my BF. This summer I've also become quite the home canner as well.
I am an animal lover. I have an old kitty, Ayesha, who's 16 human years old. She can be kind of a needy child but she's been my baby for 16 years. It's kind of like having a teenager who's a senior citizen. I also have a love for reptiles and have many pet corn snakes. I breed and raise them for pet shops and other pet owners. I find it very interesting and fascinating.
I started making jewelry about 8 years ago. I had picked up some jewelry making tools and wire at Michael's one Christmas break. On the very first day of Spring Break, I injured one of my feet.... walking to the phone in socks that were too large for me. Silly I know.... but I'm just graceful like that. Anyways, I was forced to spend that entire week off my feet with the injured one elevated. I planted myself on the couch behind a card table and made jewelry all week long. I just continued and grew from there. I now try my hand at any variety of jewelry making techniques, though wire wrapping is my favorite.
You can find me on Art Fire
